The video I’ve included is “Visual ChatGPT” and is an insight into one of the many capabilities expected in GPT4 - I’ll link the GitHub as well as a sneak peek of the potential GPT4 interface with some more teasers. The reality is that WE DON’T KNOW if it will be released publicly this week or not, but we do know it will be out soon. Execs said it will be “multi-modal” and “game changing”.
The announcement made by Microsoft Germany’s CTO and teased by their CEO last week has NOT been denied by OpenAI either, which is promising.
MS is a major shareholder, but not the owner presumably OpenAI would make the official announcement. Once Microsoft gets 4x their $10B investment into OpenAI (ChatGPT’s parent company) their equity matures to 49%. It is worth noting, however, that the announcement last week that ChatGPT4 was being launched (this week) was made by Microsoft, not OpenAI. I wholeheartedly hope and pray that GPT4 comes out this week. To start, I don’t know anything that can’t be googled, and much of this is speculative. To help manage expectations for the week ahead: GPT4 might NOT be released (but there’s a lot to get excited for). EDIT: ChatGPT-4 is being released and demoed by OpenAI TODAY!!! See comments.
